Sexting, what is this word? I've been hearing the word Sexting a lot lately online and on TV. I know Sexting has something to do with teenages but I'm not sure what it is. Does Sexting have something to do with mobile text messaging. Anyone?

My brother is all about Sexting. What Sexting is can be described as teenagers (boys and girls) having sex over the phone by sending erotic, dirty, disgusting, flirty, loving text messages with hits to meet up later for sex. So is Sexting the new hook up line? Apparently not, although Sexting is all about getting down and dirty it doesn't always happy, maybe 30% of the time does Sexting actually end up with the teenagers having sex. I first heard about it from my brother but have been hearing a lot more about Sexting online and on TV shows on stations like MTV. Another reason Sexting is so popular is that parents can listen in. Normally the teenages would have talk sex and dirty talk over the phone but then the parents can hear everything which I think is what led to Sexting. Parents can't listen in, and teenagers can delete the messages when they are done with you know what. Luckily Sexting hasn't evolved into MMS or pictures, what would that be called? SexImgTing, yikes. I guess Sexting teaches all not to touch another person's phone since mobiles hold more than just phone numbers and call history logs. Gross!!!

Colin Leahy recently was arrested for Sexting to a 12 year old boy. I don't know if you know who Colin Leahy is or not but he was a former American Idol. What was he thinking! Sexting a 12 year old boy, come on people.

What is Sexting? I'll tell you what Sexting is, its young hormonal teenagers taking phone sex to text messages. Its phone sex but via text messages and usually results in real-life hook ups. Even the students at ASU are doing it at night at parties. Gross! You won't see me Sexting any guy. I'm Sexting-Free.

Sexting can also involve images or pictures and its not just teenagers. Sexting has been going on for a long time, it just now has been started to be labeled as Sexting, before it was just DIRTY MESSAGES. People sext pictures of boobs, breasts, butts, and the list goes on.

Here is the technical definition of Sexting: Sexting includes text messaging a person (teenager) in the hopes of having a sexual encounter with them later; initially casual, transitioning into highly suggestive and even sexually explicit.

Don't be so hard on Sexting. I travel for work between Los Angeles, CA and Scottsdale, AZ which forces me to do a lot of long-distance dating. I also have a very crazy work schedule which involves travel and long strange hours, really early in the morning, really late, whatever it may be. Dating a guy that you can't always see makes it required to somehow spice things up where things like Sexting or text-messaging go a long way. So lets not be 100% negative on Sexting, Sexting has its place.

What I find creepy about Sexting is that the government and phone companies keep records over every single text message a person sends, even if its sex related. What were to happen if those records were ever released and the entire world saw your sexting message talking about sex, fucking and all that kind of private talk. That could be devastating. People live separate lives behind closed does as the Kinsey Report told us 50 years ago. Even Nixon showed the world that private records, tapes, text messages can be made available to the entire world. Sexting is to risky, who wants to risk sexting being publicly released, not me!

Sexting is out of control! I just read all kinds of stories on Sexting and about teens getting in legal trouble over sending revealing, provocative pictures of yourself, from a cell phone, and sending it to someone else! Creating, sending and even possessing a nude, semi-nude or sexual image of a minor can legally be interpreted as child pornography. It can be prosecuted as a state or federal felony and can even lead to having to register as a sex offender. Just imagine if a teen that you know is sexting and accidentally sends you a nude photo, you could end up being registered as a sex offender.
